Apostrophe's where they shouldn't be
The its/it's mistakes affect us all, from the "Mom and Pop" dry cleaners to the big-box retailer. Mom and Pop also have trouble with "we are" as a contraction, and they don't get to Starbucks often. The purveyor of the hazelnut latte does not have an apostrophe in its name.

    Have you noticed that the letter that follows the apostrophe in your blog post headlines is always capitalized? I wonder if there's a fix for that.

    Some versions of Safari apparently have that problem. It looks fine in Firefox and (if you must) Internet Explorer.

    Random apostrophes always make me cringe. Thanks for bringing this problem to public attention.

    And what about those random quotes that seem to mock or undermine the text in which they appear? I am "very" concerned about those and look "forward" to a future entry on the subject.
